This Thursday, March 23, the AIA Austin will bestow their 2023 Honor Awards to six winners during the Form:Function Celebration and Benefit. The Honor Awards recognize individual and organizational achievements in public architecture, community service, and design and professional excellence. A benefit for the Austin Foundation for Architecture, the event transforms nontraditional spaces each year. For 2023, the event will take place on the ninth floor of RiverSouth Austin from 6 p.m.–9 p.m.

“Our 2023 honorees are true changemakers, not just within their fields but in Austin as a vibrant, growing city.” says AIA Austin and Foundation Executive Director Ingrid Spencer. “Each of them provides solutions to the challenges of rapid regional change in brilliant, unexpected ways. We can’t wait to see what they’ll do next.”

The awards represent exceptional contributions to Austin’s built environment. Past honorees include Mayor Kirk Watson, Community First! Village, and McCann Adams Studio, among other luminaries.

AIA Austin President Christy Taylor, AIA and Foundation President Denisse Hudock, AIA will emcee the event, which features a cocktail hour and short presentations about each honoree.
