The recent indoor/outdoor renovation of this Wimberly Lane limestone home transformed an abode with dark interiors into an open and inviting space. The refresh, designed by the homeowner in partnership with Joanna Hartman of Page Paul Architecture and Interiors, features French white oak flooring that brighten the space. Custom paneling in the foyer, living room, and study adds a one-of-a-kind touch.

The kitchen was revitalized with 200-year-old barnyard ceiling beams from Pflugerville’s This Old Wood. A large entertaining soapstone island with a prep sink and seating for four acts as the heart of the space. Cream and gray marble countertops surround the island along with custom rift-sawn oak cabinets from Fredrickburg’s Kingwood Fine Cabinetry. Other standout elements include a walk-in pantry, WOLF appliances, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Miele dishwasher, a built-in beverage bar, and a coffee bar.

Beside the kitchen lies a great room consisting of a bespoke entertainment and fireplace wall made of dark blue glass tile, in addition to custom built-in cabinetry. Each bathroom features vanities by Kingwood Fine Cabinetry. Imported porcelain from Spain adorns the primary bath’s shower walls, and a large pocket door with a mirrored closet acts as a convenient and unique component. Handmade, hand-painted terra cotta wall tile provides the powder room with a pop of pattern.

Both the cozy reading nook and infrared sauna are ideal for relaxing, while the updated HVAC system is sure to keep one comfortable. Additional interior details include a state-of-the-art Control4® full-home automated A/V, lighting, and security system, as well as LED recessed lighting with programmable light switches, design-minded lighting, and custom closet systems.
